A Lovo is a traditional fijian feast, mostly held once a week in villages, but also as a tourist attraction and special treat in most vacation resorts.
Meat, seafood and vegetables are marinated and wrapped in banana leaves to be cooked all day in an underground oven, which is heated with hot rocks and lined with palm frons, similar to the Hawaiian Luau.
